Unless you’re looking for drugs I don’t see anyone having contact with these gang members during the event. Living in Guadalajara, I can tell you that you see people that may be in that mafia social circle, or you assume they are, or wannabes from how they present themselves in public.
But unless you do business or borrow from them, us city residents here don’t have much of a concern. Or at least that’s my take, and everyone’s here that I know.
Now if you happen to live next door to someone like that, maybe that’s another story.
