I live in Jalisco and have the Jalisco heath plan. I wonder what this means for people without IIMS who have other solutions?

More information on how this will apply to foreign residents should become available as the commencement of the registration period approaches. The welfare minister said this morning that the registration process will commence March 2 in the following states:

Baja California Sur, Campeche, Hidalgo, México state, Michoacán, Nayarit, Puebla, San Luis Potosí, Sinaloa, Sonora, Tamaulipas, Tlaxcala, Yucatán and Zacatecas.

She said registration will commence March 23 in the following states:

Baja California, Chiapas, Mexico City, Colima, Guerrero, Morelos, Oaxaca, Quintana Roo and Veracruz.

We live in an IMSS BIENSTAR service area. The care we have received on many occasions has been top notch. Additionally there was no cost… imagine that!
Yes the facilities aren’t glamorous but the care provided was as good as we get from a private (expensive) hospital. God bless Mexico! ❤️🇲🇽❤️🙏🇲🇽❤️

Where is the foreign-resident part? This might be a huge deciding factor, at least for us, as we’re too old and have pre-existing conditions for any insurance…IMSS isn’t the highest-quality care, but it would be great to know explicitly that if we got RP we’d be covered in the worst cases.
