It is not the Peso that is stronger, the green back is getting weaker – losing ground against most other currencies. Decades of fiscal mismanagement is eventually catching up, the fiat currency is eventually following the rules of Mother Nature. Have you been looking at the value of gold and silver lately?

Going to see a lot of Americans and Canadians begin to cancel trips or not make them all together. Travel is a pain the —, fees, customs, etc. and then you get to where you are going and the cost is such that it makes the entire process not worth it. Then you look at remittance from workers in USA or Canada sending money home and soon it will be not worth it either. Better get that exchange back towards 20-1 before pain starts setting in.

The strength of the peso is having a big effect on border cities. From tourist crossing over to the locals who get paid in dollars, new housing being built by US customers and purchasing. Local restaurants that depend on US people for business are struggling.
