Mexico has only won ONE Nobel
Prize in chemistry ( Mario Molina and he did most of his post doctoral work in the United States ) and one in literature and two in peace. Even Argentina has won more Nobels in the sciences. On a personal level, I happen to be an internal medicine doctor ( in the USA ) and in doing free work in Mexicos underserved, I have been shocked how mediocre the training of these Mexican doctors is.

As a Dartmouth and Yale graduate, I hardly think of NYU as a prestigious university. She paid for the cultural experience of living in New York City not for a prestigious education. I’m sure she could have obtained the same quality of education had she attended a state college in her home state . Or even better:she could have attended two years at a community college some of which offer great education for practically nothing. She deserves to be buried in debt for having made bad choices in terms of where to go to school. And no, even though I’m Mexican , there’s no way in hell I would have ever attended a Mexican university given that Mexico’s quality of education is overall ranked as the most mediocre in Latin America.

Not an expert, but I have noticed, in various trips to doctors and specialists, that many of them have diplomas from U Guadalajara. For what it’s worth.

It allowed me to pursue my life work in higher education and political leadership. For 26 years I personally recruited and supported international students at my two universities. I also encouraged American students to study abroad and my two daughters did so in Brasil and Spain. Mexican universities would do well to recruit American and international students to its many public and private universities and least, establish exchange programs with international universities.

It’s a win/win.

Today the U.S. is bankrupt financially, morally, and spiritually.

European) ? I hope not.
