Please explain to me why handing over Mexican cartel criminals to US is disputed due to political and legal grounds for the prisoner transfers (Reuters reported) Handing over convicted criminals for crimes that have also impacted the US does relieve the burden & expense of caring for these people by Mexico. Seems to me, in this instance, that Mexico wins & US loses financially. I also wonder if sending to US undermines the cartel criminals ability to exert continued control of cartels from Mexican jails.
